Rocky was my mums horse. We bought him just over a year ago from his mummy Simone. He kept going lame and despite weekly visits from the physio, ostiopath and vet, they couldnt find anything wrong with him. Despite all the pain he was in Rocky still let the vets faff about with him without creating and although he began to misbehave towards the end it was only because he was in so much pain. we sent Rocky for x rays on the 31st March 2009 and sadly the vet found that he had a degenerative condition in his spine meaning his vertebrae were too close together. this meant rocky was in constant pain and there was nothing the vets could do to save him. it was such a shock for everyone because he was only 5 and still had his whole life ahead of him. on the outside he looked fit and healthy but inside he was suffering. it was heartrbreaking but putting him to sleep was the kindest option. He will be missed so much by everyone who knew him especially his mummy tracy and mummy jill. Love you 4ever Rocky, always in our hearts and never ever forgotten (U)

So sorry for your loss. He's such a beauiful boy. I know how you feel I lost my horse to cancer and he was in pain but he didn't show it. He's probably running around with Rocky as we speak. Rest in peace now no more suffering. xx

God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be.
So He put his arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me."
With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hooves to rest.

I can't believe your really gone. its goin to kill me walking into the barn tomorrow and not having you whinney at me. I feel so guilty all the times i shouted at you when you misbehaved but i no now you werent trying to be naughty, you were just hurting. I'm so sorry we didnt help you sooner. I cant imagine what you had to put up with. We all miss you so much. Milos going to be devestated not having you to stay in the field with him. You were such a beautiful horse, stunning in every way and you knew it. its such a shame but im sure your showing off in heaven as i write this. we will never forget you and we will miss you always. a piece of my heart will always belong to you.
